What’s the difference between LVP and LVT flooring?

The only difference is the form: LVP floors refer to the luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) being cut into long planks, while LVT is when it’s cut into square, tile-sized pieces that can be used with or without grout. While vinyl plank flooring is commonly associated with hardwood, by no means are you limited as to how you’ll use any form; some people use plank also for stone echoes, while others may prefer the squares for wood looks.

What is luxury vinyl flooring?

Forget whatever you may remember from years past. This premium yet budget-friendly flooring with high style is 100% waterproof, durable, easy-care, and uncomplicated installation.

Nature-inspired, true-to-life images of wood, stone, and tile are taken with high-definition photography, so they’re clear and vibrant with knots, grains, swirls, veining variations, and bright colors and patterns. Say bye-bye to flat images because micro beveling, a process where corners are slightly angled, together with embossing, adds depth, dimension, and textured looks.

The vinyl can be cut to mimic floorboards or tile and stone squares. Many tell us the extra seams add to the realism.

Wood and wood looks are a trend that’s expected to last at least 15 years. So when shopping for luxury vinyl plank in Anaheim, CA, come in to see our gorgeous wood look floors; we carry brands like Earthwerks, Cali Bamboo, Bel Air Wood Flooring, Eternity, and more.

Ultra flooring durability

A layered product, LVF is five times thicker than the original vinyl. One of those layers is a top, transparent, melamine coating that protects the floor from scratches, spills, and scuffs. On top of that is a clear urethane finish that adds both extra shine and durability.

Made up of entirely waterproof materials, LVF can be submerged or spilled on without damage.

Whichever form you choose will only require regular sweeping and periodic mopping. It can be glued or installed as a floating floor where the pieces click together, mat, and hover over a clean, dry and level subfloor.

With so many design options and functional benefits, it would not be easy to find something that offers as much value for the decorating dollar as luxury vinyl flooring.
